From building a thriving business empire to making waves on The Apprentice 2025, Amber Rose Badrudin is proving that authenticity, resilience, and ambition are the ultimate keys to success.

Amber-Rose Badrudin: The Fearless Entrepreneur Taking Over Business and Media

In an exclusive interview with Luxurist Magazine, Amber-Rose Badrudin, the dynamic force behind Oree Mart and a standout contestant on BBC’s The Apprentice 2025, opens up about her meteoric rise, the hurdles she’s overcome, and the big dreams still ahead. As she graces the cover of Luxurist, Amber-Rose exudes a blend of poise, ambition, and effortless charm—everything you’d expect from a modern-day mogul in the making.

A Glamorous First: South Asian Heritage on Display

Amber-Rose’s Luxurist cover shoot was more than just another milestone—it was a chance to represent her South Asian heritage in a space where diversity is still growing. Draped in exquisite ensembles from Bibi London and adorned with stunning pieces from Heritage Jewels, Amber-Rose looked every bit the trailblazer she is. But beyond the glitz and glamour of our cover shoot, her story is one of grit and perseverance.

“It’s my first South Asian shoot,” she shared with excitement. “I love embracing my heritage—it’s when I feel most beautiful.” That pride in her roots is woven into everything she does, from her approach to business to the way she champions authenticity on social media.

The Birth of Oree Mart: A Passion-Driven Venture

Amber-Rose’s business journey started long before Oree Mart took off. After her parents’ divorce, she got her first job at 14 and never looked back.

“I knew early on that I didn’t want to rely on anyone else to build the life I wanted,” she says.

At 22, she co-founded Oree Mart, a Croydon-based Asian convenience store that quickly evolved into a thriving online brand. With her Vietnamese business partner, she created more than just a shop—it became a cultural hub, stocking a carefully curated selection of Southeast and East Asian products, complete with an in-store ramen bar inspired by her travels. It’s a refreshing addition to Croydon’s food scene. “It’s exciting to bring something new to the area,” she says with a proud smile.

“Food brings people together, and that’s what I wanted Oree Mart to be—something fresh, something different.” “I knew I had to grab life by both hands,” she says with determination.

Viral Success: Social Media & Content Creation

Amber-Rose isn’t just a businesswoman—she’s a digital powerhouse. Her TikTok and Instagram accounts have become extensions of her brand, drawing in thousands with her candid entrepreneurial journey.

“Consistency is key. I sacrificed sleep to create content, but I wanted to share my journey authentically,” she explains. Her transparency paid off. By showcasing both the grind and the glamour, Amber-Rose has built an engaged community that thrives on her realness.

Expanding Horizons: The Future of Oree Mart & Oree Tea

With Oree Mart thriving, Amber-Rose has her sights set on expansion.

Her ambition? To turn Oree Mart into a national chain—a one-stop shop for pan-Asian flavours, home essentials, and on-the-go dining.

Her next big move? Oree Tea, a passion project that grew from a small section within Oree Mart into a full-fledged brand. “Bubble tea is huge, and we want to do it justice,” she says excitedly. The overwhelming demand led her to refine the concept and create an experience that goes beyond just a drink.

Challenges as a South Asian Female Entrepreneur

Breaking into the business world wasn’t easy. As a young South Asian woman, Amber-Rose has faced scepticism, stereotypes, and doubters.

“People assume I haven’t worked hard or that I had a handout,” she says, clearly frustrated by the assumption. Instead of letting it discourage her, she uses it as fuel. “I love being the underdog. When people underestimate me, I work even harder.”

Her cultural roots have played a huge role in shaping her work ethic. “South Asians are born with grit. We work twice as hard to achieve what others do,” she states. Her mother, a dedicated hairdresser, was her first role model in perseverance and tenacity.

The Apprentice 2025: A Dream Realised

Appearing on The Apprentice was a full-circle moment for Amber-Rose, who grew up watching the show. “It was always a massive goal for me. The audition process was intense—hundreds of thousands apply, and only a few make it. Just getting selected felt like an achievement,” she admits. The competition’s high stakes only fuelled her hunger to succeed.

As for meeting Lord Sugar? It was just as intense as she had imagined. “He is exactly as he appears on TV,” she laughs. “You can probably see that in the boardroom I’m a little bit nervous when I first go in!”

Though she can’t reveal how far she goes, she teases, “You’ll just have to watch and see!”

Her business pitch for the show? Oree Tea. “We’re expanding, and I knew this was the perfect opportunity to scale it further,” she says, the excitement palpable in her voice.

Overcoming Media Scrutiny & Staying Authentic

With success comes scrutiny, and Amber-Rose has had her fair share of media attention. But she refuses to let negativity steal her shine.

“I think ultimately you have to focus on the positives and know your truth. There’s so much more that I have to give to the world,” she asserts.

As for the inevitable online trolls? She’s learned to tune them out. “I try not to consume it, if I’m completely honest. I don’t need that energy.”

Looking Ahead: Dreams & Aspirations

Amber-Rose’s ambitions know no bounds. “I just want to take every opportunity, achieve as much as possible, and create a better life for myself and my family,” she says. Her ultimate vision? To build an empire while staying unapologetically herself.

And her one must-have luxury item? “My Dyson Airwrap! I can’t live without it,” she laughs.

As Amber-Rose Badrudin continues to shatter glass ceilings, redefine success, and inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs, one thing is clear—this is just the beginning of an extraordinary journey.
