Unlocking Brain Power: The Key to Health, Growth, and Balance

Sukh Padda from BodySync talks about the incredible potential of your brain with insights into its structure, functions, and holistic therapies like BrainSync, designed to enhance cognitive health, boost communication, and promote overall well-being.

Activate Your Brain, Free Your Body

“The brain is the key, the brain is the source, the brain is God. Everything that humans do is neuroecology.”Timothy Leary

Brain Facts

Your brain is a truly remarkable organ. Here are some facts about this fantastic organ:

  • Weighs 1.4kg
  • Made up of 80% water
  • Contains 125,000,000,000 neurons (messenger cells)
  • One axon (thin fibres that connect neurons so that they can communicate) from one neuron may have more than 500,000 branches
  • The brain uses up to 20% of the body’s resources
  • One-third of the brain’s energy is involved in the visual pathway
  • There is limited energy available to the brain at any given time

Importance of a Healthy Brain

Modern science, in its present state, can only scratch the surface of what there is to know about brain functions and their connections, both inside and outside of the body, as well as interconnections within the brain itself.

When you connect with and enter the brain’s circulatory system, you can travel anywhere the circulatory system goes; this is also true for the whole body. The circulatory system provides an excellent means of natural exploration and, therefore, healing.

We all have brain filaments that, when recognised, connect us with spiritual knowledge and wisdom. Some of us have made use of this connection, whilst others have yet to discover it and use this line of communication. In order to open it, we must trust it. The ego would like to keep it closed because the absence of spiritual connection keeps the ego in a position of power, which then limits our intellectual and spiritual growth and development.

Brain structures all require space to function optimally. One of the major benefits of our BrainSync therapy is that it almost always enlarges spaces for the brain structures and the whole brain. Many seizure-type issues are secondary to this space comprise.

Certain brain areas dominate certain areas of function in the body. No one brain area has exclusive rights to or control of any given function in the body. There is always overlap, and the ability of the brain to transfer functional control from one area to another is known as brain plasticity.

Remer, the antidote for anger is compassion.

For one brain structure to assist in the performance of functions of another structure that may have become compromised due to excessive demand or an injury or disease, it is necessary for communication and requests for help to be made. Brain structures are at times unaware of each other’s existence; they frequently need to be made aware of the bigger picture of overall health and well-being. Therefore, improved communication between the brain structures is key to improved health and happiness.

There is now solid scientific evidence that new neurons (information messengers of the brain) are formed in adult brains. F.G. Gage of the Stalk Institute in San Diego has shown this to develop in humans well into their 60s (pages 19-20 of Scientific American, November 1998, article entitled Dogma Overturned). Usually, a brain structure requests more neurons during dialogue. Once awareness is created and the request has been made, the formation of new neurons commences. Our BrainSync therapy involves dialogue.

BrainSync Holistic Therapy

Our latest holistic therapy, BrainSync, builds upon our Holistic Oriented Body Balance Therapy, emphasising connecting to integrating and balancing the brain, brain stem and visual cortex area.

The therapy involves touch and palpation, imagery, acupuncture and dialogue. It’s a candid and in-depth exploration into the possibilities that may be achieved by tapping into the collective consciousness of an organ or tissue via the brain.

It helps by creating more space within the brain, allowing more blood and fluid flow; it balances the complex structures within the brain, increases neuron communication, and aids in lymphatic drainage of the brain.

We work primarily on the three main brains known as the “triune brain”, a model proposed by neuroscientist Paul D. MacLean in the 1960s. It divides the brain into three parts that correspond to different stages of evolution:

  1. The Lizard Brain: The oldest part, responsible for basic survival functions like aggression, dominance, territoriality, and ritual displays.
  2. Limbic System: The middle layer is associated with emotions and memory and plays a crucial role in emotional responses and social behaviours.
  3. Neocortex: This is the most recent addition and is responsible for higher-order functions such as reasoning, problem-solving, and language.

However, the brain structures are much more complex and integrated, which is what we are working on.

Structures Of The Brain We Work On

Our BrainSync natural therapy works on synchronising and balancing all the major areas and structures of the brain as follows:

  • Circle of Willis: Helps to maintain consistent blood flow to the brain, which is vital for its function and health.
  • Glymphatic System: A network in the brain that facilitates the clearance of waste products and excess fluid.
  • Brain Stem: Plays a vital role in regulating many essential functions for survival, such as sleeping, breathing, alertness, heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing.
  • Cranial Nerves: These include the Trigeminal, Vagus and the Central Nervous Brainstem nerves.
  • Cerebellum: Plays a crucial role in motor control, coordination, balance, and fine-tuning movements.
  • Hypothalamus: Controls functions such as Hormonal Control, Temperature Regulation, Hunger and Thirst Control, Sleep-Wake Cycle Control and Control Of Emotional and Behavioural Responses.
  • Thalamus: Serves as a major relay and processing centre for sensory and motor signals such as Regulation of Consciousness and Alertness, Attention and Cognitive Function Management, Transmission of Pain Signals and Emotional and Memory Processing.
  • Pineal Gland: Plays a significant role in regulating various physiological processes, particularly those related to sleep and circadian rhythms.
  • Pituitary Gland: Plays a pivotal role in regulating a myriad of vital physiological processes by secreting hormones that influence various other hormonal glands and bodily functions such as Growth Hormone, Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone, Prolactin, Follicle-Stimulating Hormone and Luteinizing Hormone (LH).
  • Visual Cortex: The part of the brain responsible for processing visual information.

Benefits of BrainSync Therapy

The integrated nature of our BrainSync therapy creates many benefits locally at the brain level and, therefore, globally throughout the body. The main primary local benefits include:

  • Increases inter and intra-cellular space within the brain, allowing optimal functioning of the brain structures.
  • Increases blood flow, which helps to nourish brain cells, promoting the development of new brain cells, provides increased energy and boosts brain power.
  • Increases fluid flow, which plays a crucial role in cushioning the brain and spinal cord, providing immunological protection and removing waste products.
  • Increases the neuron communication pathway, which increases communication skills and cognitive development, improving problem-solving skills and memory.
  • Increases visual ability by enhancing Processing Visual Input, Interpreting Visual Features, Integrating Visual Information and Visual Recognition.

Issues BrainSync Therapy Can Help With

Our BrainSync natural therapy helps with a wide array of issues as it works on balancing all the main structures of the brain. Below is a list of some of the common issues it can help with. The therapy has healing benefits at a local brain level as well as a global level throughout the body:
